Founded in December 1991, Univel is a well-funded partnership of Novell, Inc. and Unix Systems Laboratories, Inc. designed to leverage parent company technology and distribution resources. Univel has experienced sales, marketing and management groups located in San Jose, California and engineering teams in Sandy, Utah and Summit, New Jersey. Univel is a software-only company, not aligned with any particular hardware vendor.
